Dodd-Frank Reforms Allow Community Banks to Breathe a Sigh of Relief

On May 24, 2018, the Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act became law. This reform of the Dodd-Frank Act is designed to improve consumer access to mortgage credit and protect consumer access to credit as well as granting protections to veterans, consumers and homeowners. It also tailors regulations for some bank holding companies.
