About the Speakers

Philip Savrin s a partner in the Atlanta office of Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP where he chairs the Insurance Coverage and Extra-Contractual Liability National Practice Group.  After graduating from Boston University School of Law, he served as a Staff Attorney for the Eleventh Circuit and then as a law clerk for the Honorable Harold L. Murphy of the Northern District of Georgia. Since entering private practice, he has specialized in the areas of professional liability and insurance coverage and has argued in the Supreme Court of the United States in Scott v. Harris, 550 U.S. 372 (2007) and Reed v. Gilbert,138 S. Ct. 2218 (2015).  He is a frequent presenter on topics of interest to his clients, is listed in Best Lawyers in America for both insurance law and municipal liability and has been designated a Super Lawyer by Georgia Trend Magazine for several years in a row.

Marc Shrake is a partner in the Los Angeles office of Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP.  He is vice chair of the Insurance Coverage and Extra-Contractual Liability National Practice Group.  For nearly 30 years Marc has represented clients across the country in a variety of complex litigation matters involving insurance coverage, commercial property losses, business torts, professional liability, health care, internet commerce, intellectual property, the RICO Act, government/regulatory investigations, and financial institutions.  Marc handles an extensive range of insurance disputes involving property damage, time element losses, event cancellation, product failure, advertising injury, and indemnity agreements.  Marc graduated from the University of Chicago Law School in 1991.
