About the Speaker

Perry F. Sofferman is a Partner with the law firm of Kaufman Dolowich & Voluck, LLP where he is Chair of the Corporate and Intellectual Property Practice Group. He handles complex corporate and commercial transactions as well as intellectual property matters. He is the author of the Florida Limited Liability Company Forms and Practice Manual. He is the former General Counsel of a technology manufacturer and Counsel for a Fortune 500 public company. He has taught at both the undergraduate and graduate level, and has guest lectured at New York University on the subjects of privacy law, publicity law and the First Amendment. He received both his BA and MA from New York University, his JD from New York Law School, his MBA from the Zicklin School of Business of Baruch College of the City University of New York and his LLM in Tax from the University of Alabama School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in Florida and New York and is a member of the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States.
