Because of public perceptions/stereotypes of some professionals, defending lawsuits against professionals presents unique challenges. In this seminar, we will explore strategies and techniques for counteracting possible biases through preparing and presenting the professional client both at deposition and trial, as well as the selection and use of experts.
About the Speakers

Charles Callahan
Partner
Charlie Callahan focuses his practice in the areas of professional liability, wrongful death and personal injury defense, insurance coverage and fraud, governmental liability, bad faith, and educational institutions defense.
Charlie also maintains a significant appellate practice and has argued numerous times before the Arizona Court of Appeals, the Arizona Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has been named a Judge Pro Tem and a Certified Arbitrator for Maricopa County.

Don Myles
Partner
Don Myles is one of the most experienced trial lawyers in Arizona. He is a Fellow in both the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL) and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers (IATL), an Advocate member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), and a Fellow in the American Academy of Coverage Counsel (AACC). Don is a Past President of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (FDCC), Past President of the Arizona Association of Defense Counsel (AADC), and a Past President of USLAW Network. In 2019 and 2020, Don was recognized by Chambers USA as a Band 1 lawyer in Insurance Law. Throughout his career, Don has extensively litigated and tried many cases involving insurance bad faith and professional liability.
